Adrien Broner pulled a prank on Instagram Monday, but the joke backfired and he later deleted the photos and captions.

Broner, who is known for clowning around and saying controversial things, posted a photo on the social media network of himself holding a gun.

His caption included the words "f--- all that boxing."

Shortly after “fooling” everyone, Broner, who over the weekend suffered his second career defeat, posted another photo and caption to make sure everyone knew he got them with a prank. Broner said he was just at the mob museum in Las Vegas for the gun picture and was using the weapon as a prop.

He then called all of his gullible followers "dumb" for believing that he would ruin his boxing career, and stated he would be back fighting in December.

This sort of social media behavior from Broner should not at all be surprising. This is the same guy who once leaked a video online of him having sex with a woman. The only surprise is that he actually deleted the postings, which seems to be an admission of wrongdoing.

Now 30-2 in his boxing career following Saturday's loss to Shawn Porter, Broner should consider dropping back down to the lightweight division where he was undefeated.
