PARIS -- Martina Hingis and Leander Paes each completed a career Grand Slam in mixed doubles by winning the French Open final against Sania Mirza and Ivan Dodig 4-6, 6-4, 10-8 on Friday.

It was the 10th mixed doubles title at a major for India's Paes, the fifth for Switzerland's Hingis.

Paes also owns eight Grand Slam men's doubles trophies, while Hingis -- a member of the International Tennis Hall of Fame -- has five in singles and 12 in women's doubles. Heading into Roland Garros, she had won three majors in a row with Mirza as her doubles partner, but they lost in the third round in Paris.

Hingis made seven Grand Slam singles finals, winning five, between 1997 and 1999 but mounting injuries derailed her career and she retired in 2003. She returned in 2005 and started to take a hold as a doubles player. She won her first mixed doubles slam at the 2006 Australian Open, teaming with India's Mahesh Bhupathi.

Hingis and Paes celebrate their 2015 Australian Open mixed doubles crown.

A drug suspension drove her to a second retirement in 2007. She returned again in 2014 on the doubles circuit. She teamed with Paes to win the mixed titles at the Australian Open, Wimbledon and the U.S. Open in 2015 before finishing the career slam Friday at Roland Garros.

In men's doubles, American twins Bob and Mike Bryan advanced to Saturday's final with a 7-5, 6-1 victory over Lukasz Kubot and Alexander Peya. The Bryans -- already owners of a record 16 Grand Slam titles in their event -- will face Feliciano Lopez and Marc Lopez of Spain, who won their semifinal against Ivan Dodig and Marcelo Melo 6-2, 3-6, 7-5 on Friday.

The women's doubles final will be Caroline Garcia and Kristina Mladenovic of France against Ekaterina Makarova and Elena Vesnina of Russia.

In the semifinals, Garcia and Mladenovic beat Margarita Gasparyan and Svetlana Kuznetsova 6-4, 4-6, 6-3, while Makarova and Vesnina eliminated Barbora Krejcikova and Katerina Siniakova 6-4, 6-2.
