Djokovic reaches final in Dubai

Novak Djokovic has reached the Dubai Championships final for the third year running, defeating a hobbling Tomas Berdych of the Czech Republic who retired with the score 6-7 (5), 6-2, 4-2 Friday.

Djokovic, who has won the last two Dubai titles, dropped the first set after committing a series of unforced errors and a strong serve from Berdych that produced eight aces. But Djokovic found his game in the second set and Berdych began to show signs of what he later said was an injured quad muscle in his left leg.

With Djokovic up 4-2 and 0-30 in the final set, Berdych retired saying he couldn't serve properly due to the injury.

Djokovic now faces the winner of Roger Federer and Richard Gasquet of France.
