Zimbabwe scored twice in a two-minute spell either side of halftime to beat Zambia 2-0 in an international friendly on Wednesday.
Midfielder Willard Katsande found the target with a shot from the edge of the penalty area just before the break. Khama Billiat, Katsande's teammate at South African club Cape Town Ajax, then made it 2-0 a minute into the second half.
Coach Norman Mapeza called the win ''good preparation'' for Zimbabwe's African Cup of Nations qualifier against Liberia next month.
The game at Harare's Rufaro Stadium was the first for Zimbabwe since its football association published a report into match-fixing involving the national team on tours to Asia. Sanctions for those guilty of fixing are still to be decided.
