Wigan vows to fight for Rodallega
Wigan is ready to hand Hugo Rodallega a new deal to keep him at the club.
The Colombia striker will be the most high-profile name left at the DW Stadium once Charles N'Zogbia completes his move to Aston Villa.
And Latics owner Dave Whelan is keen to avoid losing another star before the new season starts.
"We'll be talking to Hugo when he gets back from the Copa America, and as far as I know he's happy here. We'd like him to stay," Whelan told the Evening Post.
"We've not had an offer in for Hugo, and I would imagine Roberto Martinez will be keen to get something sorted on that one. We do not want to be selling him, though - absolutely not."
Rodallega has scored 22 goals since arriving in Lancashire in January 2009, and the 26-year-old has been linked with Arsenal and Everton.
