USA stars Morgan, Wambach and Press get 'The Simpsons' treatment
Some of the greatest sports stars have appeared on "The Simpsons".
Remember Ken Griffey Jr.'s Gigantism? Chick Hearn announcing that Magic "pulled a Homer"? Or Tom Brady taking the field pulling a banner that reads "Everyone sucks but me"?
Well, US Women's National Team stars Alex Morgan, Abby Wambach and Christen Press are the latest to get the "Simpsons" treatment ahead of the 2015 Women's World Cup.
"They're pretty spot-on," Morgan said of the likenesses. "It's really cool."
Ronaldo had been the only soccer star to make a cameo on the show. The new episode will air Sunday at 8 p.m. on FOX, following USA's send-off match against Ireland earlier in the day, which will be broadcast on FOX Sports 1 (2 p.m. ET).
The Women's World Cup kicks off June 6, with FOX Sports broadcasting all 52 matches. The USA opens against Australia on June 8. To get ready for all the action, here's a cheat sheet with the players, teams and storylines to watch during the tournament.
