Trotters pair get monthly gongs
Bolton went unbeaten through November, winning three of their Premier League matches and drawing the other two to end the month in sixth place. The sequence carried on Coyle's good work since taking charge at the Reebok Stadium in January following his switch from Burnley. He has now received recognition but insists the award is something everyone at Bolton should share. "It's a fantastic accolade for the football club and it's very much a collective effort," he told the club's official website. "The staff, players and supporters have all played their part and I believe the club as a whole can be pleased of what has been achieved. "There was a lot of hard work put in by everybody but what we must do now is kick on." Coyle has been credited with helping the Trotters play in a more attractive fashion as well as improving results, and the flair of Elmander has been integral to their success over the past few weeks. "For Johan it's a great reward because we all know what he is capable of and now he is adding goals to his game and getting the credit he deserves," said Coyle. Elmander scored three times during November, including a stunning individual effort against Wolves. The Swede said: "I'm honoured because there are so many good players in this league. "When you have a great manager it is easy to play and I also have to thank my team-mates because they have been the ones that have given me the ball to help do my work."
