Tigers fear lengthy Gardner leave
Gardner was stretchered off in the final 10 minutes of Saturday's 3-0 defeat at Upton Park and there were immediate concerns that the defender had fractured his leg. The Tigers will assess the injury over the next 24 hours, but Brown offered a pessimistic outlook regarding the 29-year-old's fitness. "How bad is the injury to Anthony Gardner? I'm not quite sure at the moment," said Tigers boss Brown. "We'll have to see, but I've heard the words 'fibula' and 'tibia' used, so it doesn't sound too good. "We will just have to find out whether it's bad bruising or a break, so we could be without him for a long time. "But we've got a couple of big players in Jimmy Bullard and Geovanni on their way back. "We are going away to Galway for a few days, and hopefully that will give us the time to regroup and go into the final 11 games of the season treating them all as cup finals."
