Taylor set for long spell out with broken ankle
Swansea defender Neil Taylor faces a long spell out of action after breaking his ankle in the Welsh team's Premier League match against Sunderland.
Swansea manager Michael Laudrup couldn't give a timescale of Taylor's absence but says the Wales international has at least one fracture and will have a ''long period of rehabilitation before he returns to the game.''
The 23-year-old Taylor, who played for Britain's football team during the London Olympics, needed oxygen on the pitch before he was carried off on a stretcher during the first half of Saturday's 2-2 draw, following a collision with Sunderland midfielder Craig Gardner who was uninjured.
Taylor could now miss most of Wales' World Cup qualifying campaign, starting Friday against Belgium.
Swansea is second in the league standings after three games.
