Harry Redknapp is confident of having Aaron Lennon available for Wednesday night's Champions League quarter-final second leg with Real Madrid.

The Tottenham winger missed the first leg at the Bernabeu after being withdrawn due to illness minutes before kick-off.

He had not recovered sufficiently to feature in the Premier League victory over Stoke on Saturday, but Redknapp is more hopeful about his chances of being fit for midweek.

Spurs have a 4-0 deficit to contend with against Jose Mourinho's men at White Hart Lane but Redknapp has promised supporters a special occasion.

"Aaron wasn't well again on Friday and not well enough to play against Stoke," he confirmed.

"He did some work on Friday with the fitness coach and then joined in with a little game but didn't feel well enough.

"I think he will be fit enough to play on Wednesday.

"The crowd already know that we will give it a hell of a go."
