Ian Holloway's men were tipped by most pundits to be relegated from the Championship but defied their critics in spectacular fashion. Their stirring 3-2 victory over Cardiff in the play-off final at Wembley will see the Seasiders in the top flight for the first time since 1971. This comes just two years after Baptiste was relegated from the Football League with former club Mansfield. Baptiste said: "I dreamt one day that I could maybe get there. "It didn't look likely when I got relegated from League Two with Mansfield but I've just kept my head down and continued to work hard. "I was a bit nervous when I first arrived to play in the Championship but the boys were different class and deserve everything that they get."
