First half goals by Shaun Maloney and Scott McDonald fired Celtic to a 2-1 victory at Hamilton on Sunday and back to the top of the Scottish Premier League.
Defending champions Rangers were held 1-1 at home by Hibernian on Saturday and the result opened the door for Celtic to regain top spot.
Maloney volleyed home a cross by Andreas Hinkel in the 15th minute and McDonald hit the second in the 29th after a Hamilton defender tackled Giorgios Samaras and deflected the ball into the Australian striker's path.
Mickael Antoine-Curier replied for next-to-last Hamilton in the 83rd but Celtic hung on for its sixth victory in nine games. Tony Mowbray's team has 20 points and Rangers, unbeaten with five wins and four draws, have 19.
