Former France coach Jacques Santini and former France defender
Willy Sagnol have both joined Saint-Etienne in a bid to help the
struggling club.
The club said Wednesday that the 33-year-old Sagnol, who
played in the 2006 World Cup final when France lost to Italy on
penalties, will join as part of a 12-member supervisory panel whose
role is to develop the club's infrastructure.
Santini, who coached France at the 2004 European Championship
before taking charge of Tottenham, will use his coaching experience
to head a technical committee.
Sagnol and Santini both played for Saint-Etienne, which is
languishing only one place above the relegation zone.
