Jol hopes that combining the physical approach of the English game with Dutch 'Total Football' will transform Fulham from mid-table to pushing for honours. Ruiz looks set to make his Cottagers debut against Blackburn on Sunday, and arrives with a proven track record. He was FC Twente's top scorer with 24 goals in their title-winning campaign in 2009-2010, as well as scoring a four minute hat-trick against Sparta Rotterdam. And the Costa Rican is determined to make a similar impact in the Premier League, telling The Sun: "I have a desire to succeed at this level. "The coach knows me well from his time at Ajax and has high hopes of me. He wants to develop a combination of English and Dutch football and that should be good for me. "This is a new challenge for me and I am well aware of the demands of playing in England."
