Brazil legend Ronaldinho will play for Club Queretaro in the Liga MX.
The club's owner confirmed the deal in a tweet on Friday, which the club's official account then retweeted.
"It pleases me to share with you that from today, the star Ronaldinho is Gallo (a Queretaro player)," wrote Olegario Vazquez. "He strengthens a great team. The fans deserve it."
Queretaro sporting director Adolfo Rios had earlier confirmed Queretaro had sent someone to Brazil to help facilitate the deal, but had urged caution.
"It wouldn't be the first time that the situation of looking (to sign) a player occurred and then for negotiations to fail due to external situations," he added.
Ronaldinho won the FIFA World Player of the Year award in 2004 and 2005 with Barcelona, and has represented Brazil 97 times at the senior level, scoring 33 goals and winning the World Cup in 2002.
The former Barcelona and AC Milan player left Brazilian side Atletico Mineiro at the end of July, becoming a free agent.
