Rodgers rubbishes Andrews link

Last season's Championship play-off winners have been linked with the 31-year-old midfielder, who is currently on loan at Ipswich from Blackburn until the end of January. Swansea are expected to be busy in the transfer window, as Rodgers aims to strengthen his squad in order to ensure they do not get sucked into a Premier League relegation battle. They are set to sign Cliftonville starlet Rory Donnelly, while there is also interest in NEC Nijmegen's John Goossens and, reportedly, Chelsea's Josh McEachran. Andrews, though, is not a target, despite Blackburn's desire to sell, as Rodgers is not keen on a player who is the wrong side of 30. "I am sure there will be movements in and out in January," the Swansea manager told the South Wales Evening Post. "I see the agents are doing their work at the moment and throwing out lots of names in the media. "It's that funny time of year when all sorts of names come out. "But I think people who know the way this club works know that we will not be spending £2 million on a 31-year-old, for example."
