Redknapp still happy to let Pav go
Harry Redknapp would happily allow Roman Pavlyuchenko to leave Tottenham on Monday - but he sees Russia as the only likely destination.
Pavlyuchenko's future at Spurs has been the subject of much debate in recent weeks, with the striker having not featured in the Premier League since October.
Birmingham failed with a bid for the Russia international and Alex McLeish suggested over the weekend that his interest in the 28-year-old is over.
Pavlyuchenko may yet secure a move away from White Hart Lane before the 5pm deadline, however, with Redknapp open to his departure after adding Eidur Gudjohnsen to his squad.
"If it is the right deal for the club I am happy for him to go," said Redknapp.
"He has been wanting to move for a while, but if he was to move I think it would be back to Russia."
Pavlyuchenko joined Spurs from Spartak Moscow in the summer of 2008 and has been linked with a return to his former club, while Zenit St Petersburg showed an interest earlier in the transfer window.
