SALT LAKE CITY (AP) Major League Soccer has denied the appeal filed by Real Salt Lake over a red card given to Javier Morales for a tackle against Red Bulls midfielder Felipe.
The league announced the decision Saturday, when Morales will serve his one-game suspension against the Columbus Crew.
An independent review panel with a representative from the U.S. Soccer Federation, the Canadian Soccer Association and Professional Referees Organization didn't come to a unanimous conclusion that the referee had made a ''serious and obvious error'' during the Real Salt Lake's 1-0 loss to the Red Bulls on Wednesday.
