Pacheco hopes to impress
The skilled Spaniard has long been mentioned as a possible star of the future at Anfield after working his way through the ranks following his arrival in 2007 and he scored an excellent goal in the club's reserve-team win over Sunderland on Tuesday. Dalglish, who was promoted from a role in Liverpool's Academy to succeed sacked first-team manager Roy Hodgson last weekend, was watching the midweek success and Pacheco hopes to have impressed. Having yet to start a Premier League game, the 20-year-old told Liverpool's official website: "For me Kenny Dalglish is the main man here. "He is someone we all look up to and everyone respects him a lot. "I can keep working hard every day at Melwood in training and when the chance comes I have to take it. "I hope I can challenge for a place and it's a new challenge for all of us, especially the young players because Kenny knows every player in the Academy."
