Notts County cup tie 'excites' Murphy
The Magpies earned a crack at Roy Hodgson's troops by beating Wigan in a replay at the DW Stadium. And although Murphy accepts Fulham will be favourites to progress at Craven Cottage on Sunday, he warned against complacency. In his column for Eurosport, Murphy said: "As a club, we are extremely excited about this weekend's FA Cup tie against Notts County. "We see the competition as a real opportunity for us, especially with three of the big four teams out. "Understandably, it is a huge game for Notts County who have already put Wigan out, so they certainly have that ability to win the big games, with quality in their side. It will be a cracking fixture and one I can't wait for. "I don't think it is difficult to psyche yourself up for a game even when you are favourites. We can't be sloppy or complacent in what is likely to be a very fast and frenetic game. "I still value the FA Cup as a fantastic competition and, as a squad, Fulham take great pride in doing well in any competition that we are involved in."
