North Korea's Jong signs with South Korean club

North Korea striker Jong Tae Se has signed a three-year contract with South Korean club Suwon Bluewings.
Jong announced the deal Thursday at a news conference in Seoul. The Bluewings acquired him from German club Cologne for ?300,000 ($393,000). The team has declined to reveal Jong's salary.
Jong played for North Korea at the 2010 World Cup and is the best known North Korean to play in the South. He is nicknamed ''People's Rooney'' among South Korean fans in a nod to England striker Wayne Rooney.
Jong was born and raised in Japan and holds a North Korean passport.
