Moyes hoping for MLS player strike

Donovan is due to play his last game on loan at Everton in Saturday's Premier League clash with Birmingham. The USA forward, 28, has impressed during his time on loan from LA Galaxy, scoring two goals in nine league appearances, but is due to return to America after this weekend. However, MLS players have voted to go on strike if no labour agreement is agreed with the league before the season opens on March 25, and Moyes would love for that to happen. Commenting on Donovan's future Moyes told Sky Sports News: "I don't know yet, so I can't give you an answer. "At the moment it officially finishes on Saturday and after the game we'll send him back. "I think there's a chance the players might strike over there and if that's the case then we're able to keep him no problem. "He's done great. He's played in the team and settled in very quickly with the players and he's had an impact so we can't ask anymore of him. Moyes has through strenuously denied ever negotiating terms with MLS to secure Donovan's services on Merseyside permanently. "We've never talked about a permanent deal," he concluded.
