Manchester City midfielder Silva could miss run-in with ankle injury
Manchester City are assessing David Silva's ankle injury amid fears he could miss the Premier League title run-in.
Silva was stretchered off during the second half of Monday's 3-1 win over West Brom after appearing to suffer a recurrence of a recent problem and is now a doubt to feature in the club's final four games of the season.
His premature exit soured a businesslike victory that keeps Manuel Pellegrini's side in touch with leaders Liverpool, sitting six points behind with a game in hand.
"We will see tomorrow (Tuesday) what has happened," Pellegrini said.
"David played the last three games with pain in his ankle and that is why it wasn't possible for him to play against Sunderland (last week).
"He got a kick some weeks ago and every week he has played the game with pain. It is hard to tell without the doctors giving their assessment but hopefully it will be a short-term injury."
There was better news concerning Yaya Toure, who could return against Crystal Palace after a groin muscle injury.
"Yaya, I think, can be fit for next game," Pellegrini added.
City travel to Everton after their trip to Selhurst Park, before finishing with home games against Aston Villa and West Ham.
