Alfredo Ramua scored in the 87th minute to give Peruvian side Real Garcilaso their first ever victory in the Copa Libertadores.
Ramua's strike sealed a 1-0 win at Paraguay's Cerro Porteno in Group 6.
The hosts had controlled the ball for most of the match, but they were not able to create many concrete chances.
With three minutes to go, a fast counter-attack by the right from Real Garcilaso ended with a shot on goal that keeper Diego Barreto could not catch. Ramua took the loose ball on the other side of the box and slotted home.
In the same group, Santa Fe and Tolima drew 1-1 in the all-Colombian duel.
Andres Andrade put Tolima ahead only four minutes into the game, only for Santa Fe to equalise just short of the quarter-hour mark with a powerful free kick by John Valencia.
In a Group 7 match in Venezuela, Deportivo Lara beat Argentinian side Newell's Old Boys 2-1.
Jesus Gomez put the hosts ahead only six minutes into the game when taking advantage of a ball that deflected off defender Pablo Perez and left him alone in front of the goal.
Early in the second half, Lara struck again, doubling the advantage with a powerful shot by Marlos Fernandez.
Newell's kept looking for their goal, but they only achieved it in the 91st minute, through Marcos Caceres.
Finally, in Group 2, Paraguayan side Libertad claimed a valuable 2-0 win at Argentina's Tigre.
After a goalless first half, Libertad took the advantage in the 53rd minute.
Tigre's Alejandro Donatti handled in the box and was sent off, leaving Sergio Aquino to convert from the spot.
With the numerical advantage, Libertad controlled the rest of the game and Jorge Gonzalez sealed the victory with a free-kick three minutes before the final whistle.
