Forward Sebastian Giovinco has been sent home from Italy's training camp with a leg muscle injury, adding to the Azzurri's attack woes with Giuseppe Rossi and Antonio Cassano already out.

Giovinco was injured in Parma's 1-0 loss to Lazio on Sunday.

Italy visits Euro 2012 co-host Poland on Friday then hosts Copa America champion Uruguay at Rome's Stadio Olimpico four days later in friendlies.

The remaining forwards in the squad are Giampaolo Pazzini, Mario Balotelli, Simone Pepe, Alessandro Matri and Pablo Osvaldo.

Rossi had knee surgery last week and Cassano is recovering from heart surgery, with both players expected to be out for up to six months.

Italy coach Cesare Prandelli did not call up a replacement for Giovinco.
