Blackpool midfielder Elliot Grandin wants more first-team opportunities following his goalscoring cameo against Nottingham Forest on Tuesday.

Grandin came off the bench for the first time since the 4-1 win over Middlesbrough in September - he scored a penalty on that occasion - to net the Seasiders' first goal in an entertaining 2-2 draw.

Earlier this month boss Ian Holloway questioned Grandin's attitude and application but the 25-year-old, who spent the second half of last season on loan with Nice in his native France due to a family issue, is determined to re-establish himself as a permanent fixture at Bloomfield Road.

He told Blackpool's official website: "It's been a long time since I played so I am happy to be back with the group.

"I missed Bloomfield Road as the fans are always with me so I'm very happy."

He added: "I try to get my fitness at training but nothing can replace the game so I'm trying to do my best and if I carry on I hope the gaffer will use me."
