Danny Welbeck has been handed his first call-up by England ahead of the international friendly against Ghana at Wembley.
The forward, who is on loan at Sunderland from Manchester United, replaces Aaron Lennon after the Tottenham winger was released from the squad because of a hamstring problem.
Welbeck has scored six goals in the Premier League this season and was on target for the England under-21s in the win over Denmark on Thursday.
He is unlikely to start in Tuesday's match against the World Cup quarterfinalists.
