Uruguay striker Sebastian Abreu says he has reached a two-year deal with Brazilian club Botafogo.

Abreu, who was most recently playing for Greek club Aris FC, is expected to sign his contract and be introduced to Botafogo fans on Tuesday.

The 33-year-old striker made the announcement on his own Web site, saying he chose Botafogo because of the high level of football in Brazil. No financial details about the deal have been disclosed.

Botafogo only just escaped relegation to Brazil's second division last year.
