Boselli joined Wigan in the summer in a deal worth over £6million; however, he has failed to settle in England and has not made the expected impact. But the Argentine is now set to get the chance to impress in Serie A with Genoa. Boselli announced on his Twitter page, in his native Spanish, that he was set to spend the next six months in Genoa. "6 months at Genoa, very happy!" he Tweeted. Genoa president Enrico Preziosi later told Sky Italia: "Boselli is arriving. We are very happy because he is a striker that covers our demands." The 25-year-old is likely to finalise his move in the coming days and he will join fellow Argentinians Franco Zuculini and Rodrigo Palacio at the Luigi Ferraris. However, he will not be joined by Mauro Formica after his proposed move from Newell's Old Boys collapsed. "Everything had been arranged and was all perfect. Genoa were going to pay to Newell's 3.5million euros," his agent Fabian Basualdo said. "In addition Mauro had left the pre-season work because everything was ready for him signing the contract and travel to Italy but during Tuesday afternoon they changed all the conditions and we didn't accept them."
