Bony participates in first Manchester City training session
Wilfried Bony has trained with his new Manchester City team-mates for the first time after a successful Africa Cup of Nations campaign with Cote d'Ivoire.
The 26-year-old was the biggest Premier League transfer during the January Transfer Window, joining Manchester City for a fee around £28m Swansea before leaving for international duty.
But he was unable to join up with his team-mates straightaway after immediately leaving for Equatorial Guinea to play for Ivory Coast in the 29th Africa Cup of Nations.
Bony and City midfielder Yaya Toure enjoyed a fine tournament as they helped guide the West Afrcian country to their first ever AFCON victory.
Bony joined Swansea from Dutch Eredivise side Vitesse Arnhem in 2013 and went to score 26 goals in 54 Premier League matches during his time at the Liberty Stadium.
City are not in action in midweek but Bony could be in line to make his debut for Manuel Pellegrini’s side in the Saturday Night Football clash at home to Newcastle.
