The versatile Australia international is a target for Trotters boss Owen Coyle, who gave him his first-team debut during a loan stint at Burnley in 2009. He missed most of last season due to a long-term injury, but he returned to play an important role under Tony Mowbray. Mowbray is now a confirmed fan of the 23-year-old and whilst admitting he needs to sell before buying, he does not want Williams to be one of those. And Williams himself insists he happy on Teesside, where he has come from the youth ranks into the first-team. "We all believe in the manager, we showed last season what we can achieve and it's all about getting a good start," said Williams. "Because I came through the ranks it means a lot to me to be here and, yes, I've been linked with people, but I'm enjoying it here, I'm settled and nothing would mean more to me than to get Middlesbrough back to the Premier League. "And I know we're capable of that with the staff and the players we have. "Middlesbrough is very special to me, I'm settled and I get on with the manager, so I couldn't be happier. "Middlesbrough have stuck by me through my injury problems so the club definitely means a lot to me. I'll do anything for this club. "The best way to say thanks is to help to push for promotion back to where we belong. "This season we have a chance, and if we don't quite manage it, then the manager will have another summer to bring in even more players. "I spoke to the manager and he says it's going to be a long journey but if we can get up into the Premier League he'll have money to spend and he said he'd keep us there."
