Bolton boss considers options
The Trotters boss saw his side dismantled 5-0 by the Premier League champions at the Reebok Stadium on Saturday, with Wayne Rooney helping himself to a hat-trick and strike partner Javier Hernandez bagging a brace. Bolton have an immediate opportunity to make amends in front of their own supporters when newcomers Norwich make the trip to the North West on Saturday. And Coyle is happy to have options available to him having been surprised at the ease with which the Red Devils found gaps in his defence. The Bolton boss said: "The great thing is we have a few options now, as opposed to not having that last season. That's something we'll look at, as you always do week to week. "We made a few changes against United but time will tell whether we need more. We do have players now we know can step into the breach, so that's what we'll look to do. "In an attacking sense we were fine. It was against the ball, and it was rare for us because we are usually good against the ball. We didn't do that well enough. "We have to look at that game and know we can defend better than that."
