Atletico Madrid striker Sergio Aguero has refused to rule out the possibility of joining arch-rivals Real Madrid in the summer.

Argentina international Aguero, 22, has publicly announced his desire to leave Atletico and is not afraid to face a backlash by joining neighbours Real.

Manchester City, Chelsea and Liverpool have also been linked with the talented forward, but he is thought to want to stay in Spain.

"I don't know anything about Real Madrid. You (the media) are saying that," Aguero said in Marca.

"There is the possibility (of joining Real), though. I still can't say which club I will be joining."

Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has played down the speculation and recently admitted that they would be declaring war on Atletico if they signed Aguero.

"At the moment we are not studying the possibility of signing Aguero," Perez said.
