17-year-old goalkeeper Gigi Donnarumma leads Europe in clean sheets
AC Milan goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma not only shares a first name with Juventus and Italian legend Buffon, he also seems set on following in his footsteps as one of history's greatest ever 'keepers. Donnarumma's not only Serie A and Italy's youngest ever goalkeeper, he's now leading all of Europe in clean sheets. At the age of 17 years old.
Donnarumma made six saves as Milan shut out Pescara on Sunday, making it his fifth match without conceding this year. He's been a key part of the Milan side that now sits in third place in the Serie A table, and he's doing it all before he can even legally drive.
Donnarumma's breaking records left and right: he's the youngest goalkeeper to ever turn out in Serie A, and he's Italy's youngest ever player (post-World Cup), and now he's Europe's clean sheet leader.
Not bad for a baby.
