Zamora, De La Fuente join U.S. under-20

CARSON, Calif. - Chivas USA midfielders Bryan de la Fuente and Cesar Zamora have been named by Head Coach Thomas Rongen to the U.S. Under-20 Men's National Team roster for the Torneo de las Americas in Kennesaw, Georgia, where the team will face Colombia and Mexico. The U.S. U-20's will be in Georgia from November 21-29, facing Colombia on the 26th and Mexico on the 28th.

De la Fuente and Zamora are both homegrown players on Chivas USA's roster, having joined the club's youth system in 2007. Zamora, a native of Sylmar, Calif., signed with the first team in 2009, and de la Fuente, of Bell, Calif., was signed on August 25, 2010. De la Fuente made his MLS debut on October 23, 2010, in the final match of the season, replacing Jonathan Bornstein in the 85th minute.


Zamora and de la Fuente were also with the U.S. U-20 National Team at the Dallas Cup in April, where both players started in two of the three matches as the U.S. finished with a win and two losses. The two also participated in the Cor Groenewegan Tournament in the Netherlands in May of this year. In addition, Zamora joined the U-20 team for the Copa Ciudad de Rosario in Argentina in August of 2009.
