Young Bucks Tracker: Dec. 3 edition

Published Dec. 3, 2015 3:00 p.m. ET

With two-thirds of the roster born after 1990, the Milwaukee Bucks are a young, growing team. Every Thursday for the rest of the season, FOX Sports Wisconsin will take a closer look at the players that are still in their first three NBA seasons, measuring, highlighting and evaluating their progress.

This is the third edition of the 2015-16 Young Bucks Tracker. Note: Due to the Thanksgiving holiday, we are including the previous two weeks with the statistical averages instead of the usual one week.

A glossary of the advanced statistics used for season totals:

PER -- Player Efficiency Rating: A measure of per-minute production standardized such that the league average is 15.

TS% -- True Shooting Percentage: A measure of shooting efficiency that takes into account 2-point field goals, 3-point field goals, and free throws.

USG% -- Usage Percentage: An estimate of the percentage of team plays used by a player while he was on the floor.

ORtg -- Offensive Rating: An estimate of points produced per 100 possessions.

DRtg -- Defensive Rating: An estimate of points allowed per 100 possessions.

VORP -- Value over Replacement Player: A box score estimate of the points per 100 TEAM possessions that a player contributed above a replacement-level (-2.0) player, translated to an average team and prorated to an 82-game season.

GIANNIS ANTETOKOUNMPO (Age 20, third season)

Statistical season averages (last 2 weeks): 16.1 points (15.1), 6.1 rebounds (5.0), 2.5 assists (2.4), 0.9 steals (0.9), 1.1 blocks (1.1), 32.7 minutes (29.30), 51.4 FG% (55.7), 31.0 3PT% (30.0).

Advanced stats, season: 18.3 PER, 59.5 percent TS%, 22.4 percent USG%, 110 ORtg, 109 DRtg, 0.4 VORP.

Notable: The inconsistency continues for Antetokounmpo. In the eight games in the last two weeks, he scored in double figures in four and single digits in four -- including the last three. At face value, Antetokounmpo's shooting improved -- 55.7 percent in those eight games -- but he was just 5 of 18 over the last two.

MICHAEL CARTER-WILLIAMS (Age 24, third season)

Statistical season averages (last 2 weeks): 9.6 points (6.8), 3.6 rebounds (3.3), 4.9 assists (4.6), 1.3 steals (1.1), 0.8 blocks (0.6), 28.1 minutes (25.8), 41.0 FG% (37.9), 29.4 3PT% (0.0).

Advanced stats, season: 11.7 PER, 48.0 percent TS%, 21.7 percent USG%, 89 ORtg, 109 DRtg, -0.2 VORP.

Notable: Carter-Williams has struggled and after starting seven straight games upon his return from injury, he has come off the bench in the last three. However, he played over 30 minutes in each of the last two games regardless, which are the most he's played since Nov. 14.

TYLER ENNIS (Age 21, second season)

Statistical season averages (last 2 weeks): 3.8 points (1.7), 1.3 rebounds (2.0), 1.7 assists (0.7), 0.2 steals (0.0), 0.1 blocks (0.3), 13.2 minutes (10.3), 38.2 FG% (20.0), 28.6 3PT% (0.0).

Advanced stats, season: 6.4 PER, 45.3 percent TS%, 18.1 percent USG%, 86 ORtg, 113 DRtg, -0.2 VORP.

Notable: Ennis was inactive until Milwaukee's last three games and only saw substantial minutes at San Antonio, when he started and played nearly 24 minutes. Needless to say, he did not take advantage of his situation. We'll have to see how many more opportunities he gets, although with Carter-Williams benched (for now) and Jason Kidd preferring Jerryd Bayless playing with the second unit, there are bound to be more chances.

DAMIEN INGLIS (Age 20, first season)

Notable: Inglis was sent to the NBDL's Canton Charge and made his debut Nov. 25. In two games with Canton, Inglis is averaging 20 minutes, 11.0 points, 4.0 rebounds and 2.5 assists while shooting 39.1 percent from the field and 28.6 percent from 3.

JOHNNY O'BRYANT (Age 22, second season)

Statistical season averages (last 2 weeks): 3.8 points (2.0), 3.2 rebounds (1.8), 0.8 assists (0.5), 0.2 steals (0.2), 0.2 blocks (0.0), 15.7 minutes (9.7), 43.1 FG% (40.0), n/a 3PT% (n/a).

Advanced stats, season: 9.3 PER, 47.9 percent TS%, 12.9 percent USG%, 104 ORtg, 112 DRtg, -0.2 VORP.

Notable: O'Bryant has lost his regular turn in the rotation. In the last five games he's had two DNPs and played 8:55, 3:33 and 7:05 in the other three. Jabari Parker's return has obviously hindered his minutes as well as a fall-off in his offensive output (his ORtg has fallen from 115 to 104 in the past two weeks).

JABARI PARKER (Age 20, second season)

Statistical season averages (last 2 weeks): 9.5 points (10.9), 3.7 rebounds (3.9), 0.9 assists (1.0), 0.6 steals (0.8), 0.4 blocks (0.6), 23.3 minutes (24.0), 47.2 FG% (45.8), 0.0 3PT% (0.0).

Advanced stats, season: 14.7 PER, 52.4 percent TS%, 19.3 percent USG%, 106 ORtg, 111 DRtg, -0.2 VORP.

Notable: Like Carter-Williams, Parker lost his spot in the starting rotation the last three games. He had 10 points and seven rebounds in his first game off the bench then 16 points in a win over Denver. It's hard to imagine Parker being on the bench for too long (his offensive production, at least according to the advanced stats, has improved), and it's also hard to imagine him pouting about it, either.

RASHAD VAUGHN (Age 19, first season)

Statistical season averages (last 2 weeks): 3.2 points (3.0), 1.0 rebounds (1.6), 0.2 assists (0.4), 0.2 steals (0.4), 0.3 blocks (0.4), 8.3 minutes (7.4), 36.8 FG% (33.3), 40.0 3PT% (30.0).

Advanced stats, season: 8.1 PER, 48.9 percent TS%, 21.4 percent USG%, 85 ORtg, 112 DRtg, -0.1 VORP.

Notable: Vaughn had three DNPs in the last two weeks and in the blowout loss to San Antonio he played nearly as many minutes as he did in the other four games combined in which he appeared. Welcome to life in the NBA, youngin'.
