Wild release 2016-17 preseason schedule

The Minnesota Wild on Tuesday announced their 2016 preseason schedule, a slate of games that includes matchups against a pair of Eastern Conference foes, as well as four games against Central Division competition.

The Wild open the preseason on Sept. 26 with a matchup against forward Jack Eichel and the Buffalo Sabres, and wrap things up on Oct. 8 with a home game against the Winnipeg Jets.

The Wild finished the 2015-16 season 38-33-11, before falling in a six-game playoff series to the Dallas Stars.
