Vladimir Ducasse and the Minnesota Vikings liked what they saw in each other.
Ducasse, the former New York Jets offensive lineman, visited Minnesota last week but left without a deal in place as he weighed his potential options. The Vikings agreed to terms with Ducasse on a one-year contract Monday, a source confirmed to FOXSportsNorth.com.
Ducasse, 26, had also visited the Cincinnati Bengals while New York remained interested in keeping the former second-round pick out of Massachusetts. Minnesota ultimately landed the 6-foot-5, 325-pound Ducasse.
A native of Haiti, Ducasse played four seasons for the Jets, making five starts. He played all 16 games the past three seasons and started the first four games at left guard last season before losing his starting spot to rookie Brian Winters.
The Vikings have stayed busy into the third week of free agency addressing its offensive line. Minnesota re-signed starting left guard Charlie Johnson last week and re-signed veteran backup Joe Berger in the first week of free agency.
Ducasse was a left tackle in college, but has primarily played guard in the NFL.
