This paralyzed skateboarding bunny is clearly poised for X-Games Gold
Sometimes with farm life you have to make hard decisions....like putting down an animal because the quality of life is no longer good. However, at Overlook Acres we do what we can. Over the past few weeks we have had about 6 litters of bunnies born. We lost many to the frigid temperatures of upstate New York. But thanks to Christine Griffith she took the remaining bunnies inside and bottle fed each one. I found this little guy in the barn stiff and half frozen and brought him inside. After a few days of warmth he was eating normal but wasnt moving his back legs. It appeared he was paralyzed from his belly down. Normally this circumstance would result in putting the animals down and out of his misery but he didnt seem to be in any pain. He managed to still pull himself around the floor and was moving faster than the other babies. So, Christine took it upon herself to buy a $1 skateboard toy at the dollar store and manuifacture a mini wheel chair body for this little guy. He is as happy as can be and loves his speed. Call off the half pipe competition. Just end it now.
Let's not waste anyone's time, X-Games. Just run 60 minutes of Power Thirst commercials and call it an afternoon. Because anyone with eyes and a soul can see the 2016 X-Games in Oslo will be crushed, annexed and imperialized by a small mammal strapped to a Tech Deck.
The conqueror in question is a bunny named Wheelz who was recently nursed back to health by farmers in Upstate New York.
According to the proprietors of Overlook Acres, Wheelz was discovered half-frozen in one of the farm's barns. In lieu of putting him down, the farmers attempted to rehab the animal. Wheelz improved, but had lost the ability to use its hind legs.
That's when the farmers got creative, according to the post:
"After a few days of warmth [the bunny] was eating normal but wasnt moving his back legs. It appeared he was paralyzed from his belly down. No one doesn't love a bunny in a wheel chair, particularly when that wheel chair harkens back to days when flipping a flimsy plastic board with your fingers was thing people did for entertainment.
So you do you, Wheelz. You're the foremost woodland skateboarder since Bunny Lasek, and you turned terrible adversity into a neverending backside manual. And I respect that.
Dan is on Twitter. He faced a tough existential crisis deciding between "Bunny Lasek" and "Bam Marg-hare-a" but life is all about choices.
