The Rouseys fire back at TUF critics on Twitter

Ronda Rousey's popularity has taken a beating ever since she started her stint coaching on The Ultimate Fighter. And this past week, she might have rubbed people the wrong way the most.

After beating rival Miesha Tate in a Coaches Challenge -- a race to the top of a rock-climbing wall -- she flipped Tate the double bird and cursed her out as she rappelled down.

Some will say that's just Rousey showing her Diaz-brother-like spirit. Others felt it was the last straw and took to Twitter to accost Rousey, her mother and her sister. As could be expected, the family fired back and hard.

Ronda's mother Ann Maria Rousey DeMars basically called UFC fans hypocrites, writing that they enjoy fighters being beaten to unconsciousness, but become squeamish when someone uses foul language.

Maria Burns Ortiz, Ronda's sister, dropped an f-bomb of her own toward fans who think Ronda'€™s family is embarrassed by her actions on television, as evidenced by this tweet.

And, of course, never to be outdone, Ronda herself answered the haters with this tweet:

What many people don't know is that before competing with Tate in that challenge, Rousey sat in the sauna for five hours, according to castmate Jessamyn Duke's blog on Bleacher Report. Rousey wanted to prove a point to her team after Anthony Gutierrez quit while trying to make weight for his TUF semifinal fight against David Grant.

To her credit, Rousey didn't use that as an excuse for attitude toward Tate. And hey, maybe she would have reacted the same way after winning if she didn't set foot in the sauna.

Most impressive, though? That she beat Tate in that race despite being completely dehydrated and exhausted.
