Anyone who considered Dallas to be a potential warm-weather destination for the Super Bowl is about to be sorely disappointed.

Weather throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth area will take a dip toward chilly temperatures throughout Super Bowl week, with the average high sitting in the 30s and a low temperature of 16 degrees expected on Wednesday, according to weather.com.

Tuesday's Super Bowl media day is expected to bring some of the week's most frigid weather, with a high of 38 degrees and a low in the 20s, including scattered showers.

Game-day weather, while cloudy, figures to be a bit better with an expected high of 61 degrees and a low of 41.

With the retractable roof at Cowboys Stadium expected to be closed for both events, the frigid weather won't have much impact on the festivities themselves.

Those who planned on a temperate Super Bowl climate, however, should pack their winter clothes.
