Striker has huge day in win over West Virginia

Published Oct. 3, 2015 11:09 p.m. ET

Linebacker Eric Striker has been in the news quite a bit this season.

Saturday against West Virginia, Striker was all over the field.

He had 13 tackles, nine of them solo, two sacks and forced a fumble that was picked up by Jordan Evans and returned for a touchdown.

"I was just out there having fun and playing a game," Striker said.

Coach Bob Stoops said it might have been Striker's best game since the 2014 Sugar Bowl.

"Eric has played well a lot," Stoops said. "He was huge. He was hard to block. I know a time or two he beats the guy and gets a holding call on passes that would have been a first down. "
