Sadler reaches, passes 2,000 wins

Home Journey romped to an 8-1/4-length victory in the $49,400 feature for California-breds at Betfair Hollywood Park on Friday.

Ridden by Aaron Gryder, Home Journey ran 6-1/2 furlongs on Cushion Track in 1 minute, 17.56 seconds and paid $7.40 to win as the 5-2 favorite.

Akiss Forarose was second, and Sacred Delight was another three-quarters of a length back in third.

Trainer John Sadler earned his 2,000th victory in North America when Rooster City won the first race on the card. Joe Talamo guided Rooster City to a half-length victory, the first of three on the card for Sadler. He also won the sixth with Distort This and the eighth with Candy Trophy.
