Rodgers, Braun add second restaurant location
Star power. Aaron Rodgers and Ryan Braun have plenty of that to offer, so it comes with very little surprise that their restaurant, 8-Twelve MVP Bar and Grill, is growing in Wisconsin, thanks in part to the high-profile status of its two investors.
The restaurant is doing so well that 8-Twelve MVP Bar and Grill is getting a second location in the Milwaukee area. After the success of its original location in Brookfield that opened in the summer of 2012, the restaurant will add a second location at Bayshore Town Center in Glendale in October.
Rodgers and Braun have been good friends since being drafted by the state’s two most popular sports franchises in 2005.
Rodgers, the Green Bay Packers’ star quarterback and former NFL MVP who recently signed the biggest contract in league history, invested his money well with the 8-Twelve MVP Bar and Grill.
"With the great success we've already had at our Brookfield location, Ryan and I are excited to bring the 8- Twelve brand to the North Shore," Rodgers told BizJournals. "The new Bayshore location is as good as they come, and we’re looking forward to providing the North Shore community with the unique, quality dining experience 8-Twelve fans have come to expect."
Braun, the 2011 National League Most Valuable Player and five-time All Star, is the Milwaukee Brewers’ highest-paid player.
"We are very excited to be opening another 8-Twelve in a very special setting like Bayshore Town Center," Braun told BizJournals. "I am thrilled to be able to continue my involvement in the community and give back to the city that has been so supportive throughout my career."
