With his 3-run, 3rd-inning home run off Diamondbacks starter Robbie Ray on Saturday, Jay Bruce gave the Reds a comfortable 6-1 lead. He also reached the 20-home-run mark for the 8th time in his Reds career.
Only two other Reds have had more seasons of 20+ homers: Johnny Bench accomplished the feat 11 times while Frank Robinson had 10 such seasons.

After the home run, Bruce's career totals stood at 228 home runs and 707 runs batted in. He almost added a 229th home run in the 5th inning, but the ball just missed clearing the left-field fence.
Bruce juuuuuust misses a 21st homer in the 5th. But the @Reds still lead 6-1!https://t.co/UO4R1tS59I pic.twitter.com/YhlDQpqRVQ
