Reds closer Chapman posts recovery update on Instagram
Aroldis Chapman was the victim of one of the scarier moments in baseball last month, but now wants everyone to know he's progressing just fine.
The Reds closer suffered fractures above his left eye and nose after being struck by a ball hit by Royals catcher Salvador Perez in a spring training game on March 19.
He has since resumed working out, and on Saturday -- the same day the Reds bullpen allowed a walk-off grand slam in a loss at the New York Mets -- he posted a video of himself in action on his Instagram account with the following caption: "I wanna tell my friends and followers in Instagram that are worry about my health that see my videos and photos of me coming back and training. That it was the doctors and training staff of the Reds that took the decision that I could start training again. I'm telling you guys this because I have seen a lot of comments (to take it easy) and I want you guys to know how everything is going in my recovery."
