Both the Browns and Bengals announced their preseason opponents Tuesday.
Official dates and times are pending; as, of course, are the preseason games themselves as the NFL lockout continues.
Assuming there will be football -- and we're working under that assumption until further notice -- following are the preseason schedules. Most years, the NFL announces preseason opponents about a week before the release of the regular season schedule.
BENGALS
Week 1: at Detroit, weekend of Aug. 11-15
Week 2: at New York Jets, weekend of Aug. 18-22
Week 3: home vs. Carolina, weekend of Aug. 25-29
Week 4: home vs. Indianapolis, Sept. 1 or 2
BROWNS
Week 1: home vs. Green Bay, weekend of Aug. 11-15
Week 2: home vs. Detroit, weekend of Aug. 18-22
Week 3: at Philadelphia, weekend of Aug. 25-29
Week 4: at Chicago, Sept. 1 or 2
The NFL announced the preseason will begin with the Hall of Fame Game, Bears vs. Rams, in Canton on Aug. 7.
