Posada: Alex Rodriguez, steroid users should not make Hall of Fame

Just when Alex Rodriguez was having a good season on the field and a controversy-free one off of it, ex-teammate Jorge Posada comes along and say that A-Rod shouldn't make the Hall of Fame.

In an interview with "CBS This Morning" to promote his new book "The Journey Home: My Life in Pinstripes", Posada was asked if players who used steroids should be in Cooperstown.

"No," Posada answered without hesitation.

He elaborated, saying, "I don't think it's fair for the guys that have been in the Hall of Fame that played the game clean."

When asked specifically if Rodriguez, his teammate from 2004 to 2011, should make the Hall, Posada again said no, before adding, "I don't think it's fair. I really don't. I think the guys that need to be in the Hall of Fame need to be a player that played with no controversy."

Posada also mentioned it was "really tough" losing out and finishing second to A-Rod in the 2003 American League MVP race

When asked if he has told A-Rod his feelings on the subject, Posada said, "No."
