The NFL announced on Wednesday that San Diego Chargers quarterback Philip Rivers is the AFC Offensive Player of the Week for Week 4 after his performance on Sunday against the Cleveland Browns. Rivers threw for 358 yards and three touchdowns with no interceptions and a passer rating of 118.1 in the 30-27 win.

The performance, which was Rivers' 40th career three-touchdown game, included touchdown passes to three different receivers. He hit Keenan Allen for a 28-yard touchdown in the first quarter, Ladarius Green for 19 yards in the third quarter and John Phillips for a 1-yarder in the fourth. Rivers also led the Bolts on a 57-yard drive in the final 2:09 to set up the game-winning field goal by kicker Josh Lambo.

Rivers last one the award in Week 16 of 2014 and earned the honor for the seventh time in his 12-year career. Only LaDainian Tomlinson, who will be inducted into the Chargers' Hall of Fame later this season, has won Offensive Player of the Week more than Rivers as a Charger since its inception in 1984.

Safety T.J. Ward of the Denver Broncos and kicker Justin Tucker of the Baltimore Ravens are AFC Defensive and and Special Teams Plays of the Week for Week 4.
