





































































































































































































Oklahoma center Darlington up for community service award
Oklahoma center Ty Darlington was announced as one of eight semifinalists for the 2015 Wuerffel Trophy which is known as college football's major award for community service.
Darlington, who graduated from Oklahoma with a degree in Arts And Sciences Planned Program is now working on a master's in Adult and Higher Education.
Darlington is on the 2015-16 Big 12 Student Advisory Committee and was previously the president of the OU Fellowship of Christian Athletes. He has helped volunteer efforts in Oklahoma, been to Haiti three times and has also been a volunteer coach at his high school in Apopka, Fla.
The Wuerffel Trophy winner will be announced Dec. 10 at the Home Depot College Football Awards show. OU center Gabe Ikard won the award in 2013.
